Network Based Therapy approach to promoting coping

Dr Barry Jones

The Service User Network (SUN) follows the ethos of the therapeutic community and draws upon coping process theory and psychoanalytic ideas to provide a supportive group based resource to adults with personality disorders and difficulties, as well as adolescents struggling with self-harming behaviour. The model used within the SUN group has recently been manualised and described as network based therapy. The presenter shall outline the theoretical tenets and structure of the model as well as present outcome data.
